Fashioning Futures - Emma J Shipley

Emma J Shipley is an award-winning textile designer known for graphic artistry and imagination; inspired by myths, legends and the unique beauty of the natural world. She painstakingly draws each design by hand in pencil, fusing highly skilled draftsmanship with a subversive imagination. As well as running her own successful accessories label, Emma has collaborated with high-profile brands including Disney, Star Wars, Aspinal of London and Atelier Swarovski.

Emma is a graduate of Birmingham City University and a former alumni of the year. Her lecture will cover her career to date (including ups and downs) as well as how she is motivated and some hints and tips for success.
